We realised that the only way to effectively screen staff was to have a local contact that can facilitate the first round of interviews and the screening process. Our team interview all applicants, follow up on references, check that the staff member has an adequate working environment, with good access to electricity and internet, with minimum data connection speeds and quality.
We can perform background checks if necessary and perform personality and aptitude checks as another check to confirm that the staff member has the skills that they say that they do.
Once the staff member is hired, we perform ongoing monitoring of their work and productivity using time tracking software, to ensure that the staff are being diligent and are actually working when they say that they are.
Finally, a common frustration with outsourcing is paying staff, especially if they need to be paid in their local currency. We went to great lengths to ensure that all of our customers in Australia only need to pay us in Australian Dollars, and we manage the payment of staff in their local currency. So whether you decide to outsource to the Philippines, other parts of Asia or Europe, your payroll obligations will only be in AUD which is a big relief.
